About our client
Our client is a leader in the industrial hydraulics space, specialising in the design, manufacturing and maintenance of products to well-known names such as Bluescope Steel, BHP, Hitachi and Onesteel. Due to a significant increase in workflow, we are currently looking for a Workshop Fitter/Machinist to join their team based in Clontarf (Queensland) on a long-term basis. This role has the scope for a permanent full-time engagement with our client directly, or on a casual basis through WorkPac for the initial 3-6 months whilst you settle in, then moving into a permanent role with our client directly.
What you will be doing
The primary duties for this position will be a hands-on role based in the workshop, completing repairs, builds and testing on hydraulic parts and components to service customer equipment in line with industry best practices and company standards, policies and procedures.
What you will need
Trade qualified Fitter / Machinist (mechanical based field)
Knowledge and experience with repair procedures
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
Able to prepare clear and concise strip and assess / service reports
Ability to prepare and plan for jobs
High attention to detail
