SalaryDTD is a medium sized local General Engineering firm, with plenty of opportunity and we are looking for a Fitter/Machinist.
Locally owned, based in Thurgoona we have a Machine Shop located in a larger business.
The machine shop services our other business streams as well as the general public.
Each day is very different and a wide variety of skills are required.A successful candidate would need to;
- perform all facets of the Fitter/Machinist trade;
- have knowledge of manual lathes, mills & boring machines;
- assemble various machinery/equipment;
- be engaged and comply with all Safety Policy & Procedures;
- read drawings and specifications;
- pay attention to detail;
- be punctual;
- be flexible in your daily routine;
- be motivated;
- Work both as part of a team & unsupervised;
- have good problem solving skills & follow direction; and
- take pride & accountability in their work.Hourly rate is dependent on experience and negotiable, currently paying above Award.Your daily routine will require you to make new parts/repair parts and service different sectors such as Food/Timber/Agricultural/Energy industries, providing consistent challenges and change in work patterns.A forklift license is desirable but not a necessity, if successful we can assist in obtaining a license.Reasons you may wish to work at DTD are;
