Are you a Mechanical Fitter looking for local work? This is a great opportunity to join our local Trades team and take part in a major industrial maintenance project (Blast Furnace Reline) Port Kembla. Works are scheduled to commence in February 2024.
Job details include
- Monday to Friday roster 7am-5.30pm (50hour week)
- Saturday work available.
- $50.58 per hour casual rate plus overtime rates
- 3-year project (Port Kembla location)
- Uniform, PPE, Tooling will be provided
- Casual roles available
About You
- Trade Certificate III Engineering ‐ Mechanical Fitting, Boilermaker trade qualification or equivalent with experience maintaining fixed plant equipment specifically within a heavy industry
- Have the ability to work effectively within a team with well-developed communication skills with a commitment to the safety and well-being of yourself and your colleagues.
- Relevant high risk license
- Current white card
- Valid driver’s license (Preferred)
- Valid working at heights – Within 2 years
- Valid confined space – Within 2 years
- Able to interpret technical drawings and problem solve
Boilermakers will be required to complete a weld test at our workshop in Unanderra
Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
