ResponsibilitiesThe Fixed Asset Accountant's role involves overseeing and sustaining the Fixed Asset Function within the Finance department. As an essential part of the team, the Fixed Asset Accountant manages crucial month-end tasks, liaises with branches, head office, and management, and supports the Finance team as needed. Oversee the International Finance payment operations, such as Liability Reconciliation and processing of General Ledger Journals.Perform reconciliation and analysis of Fixed Asset General Ledger accounts, including related clearing accounts.Handle the capitalization process of Other Fixed Assets, including creating and receiving purchase orders, processing invoices through the Digital Finance Dashboard, activating assets, and managing Work-In-Progress (WIP) assets.Oversee the capitalization process for additions to the rental fleet.Review, authorize, and process asset uploads for financed and rental-to-owned units.Perform quarterly analysis of rental revenue and costs.Regularly analyze the Fixed Asset register, including reviewing useful life and depreciation.Manage the annual fixed asset inventory process for both rental and other assets.Develop and maintain detailed work instructions, including recordings and supporting documents as needed.Identify and suggest system improvements to the finance team as needed.Help with audit inquiries and compile audit samples.
