Form of workAs the leading softwood Timber Processor in Western Australia, Wespine is a key business and employer in the Dardanup and South West communities, working safely as a team to manufacture timber for distribution throughout Australia.
We are currently seeking hard working, motivated people to join our team in the position of Fixed Plant Operators (Timber Processors) in our production areas. This is the perfect entry level role for those who have recently finished high school, or those looking for a career change!
The successful people will be offered a permanent position, working 45 hours per week on a roster that covers both day and night shifts. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role, requiring you to be on your feet for up to 12 hours per day.
All of our Timber Processors are responsible for:
- Processing timber on an automated line.
- Maintaining a neat and tidy work environment.
- Manual handling of various timber products.
- Following safe work practices.
- Ensuring all aspects of product quality are met
- Meeting performance and safety targets.
- Gaining a strong understanding of the production process.
About you:
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of completing practical tasks and following specified work instructions.
- A desire to learn and high level of enthusiasm to develop new skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team with good problem-solving skills.
- A high commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail.
- Prior experience of what is required to commit to shift work is an advantage.
