As a Fleet Assistant at Proquip, you will work with the Fleet Co-Ordinator to that Heavy Equipment Assets coming into or de-commissioning from the Proquip Fleet, are equipped with all safety components, mechanically A1 and meet Proquip's' high standards for Asset presentationYour duties will include. Preparing new equipment for the hire fleet which includes fitting different safety components(estops, battery isolators, etc). Assisting the pre delivery team in getting new and used equipment ready for sale which includes basic welding and fabrication. Unloading containers (generally excavator buckets and machinery) Other yard and workshop duties as required Maintaining a safe and clean workspace at all times. What you will bring to the role : Strong written and verbal communication skills Forklift License - preferred but not essential Basic Metal Fabrication skills - Welding Competent computer skills Current Motor Vehicle Driver’s License You will be mechanically proficient, and competency with heavy equipment will be an advantage. You may not hold a formal qualification, or you may be a mechanic looking for something different. You will be meticulous and methodical in your work, have good administration skills and be able to work with other internal teams to ensure a seamless transition from purchase to ready-to- hire.Experience/Competencies:Demonstrated ability to follow existing processes/procedures.Safety conscious & thorough understanding of work safety standards.Practical/Hands-on approach to tasks - including problem solving.Self motivated and can work alone or part of a teamA strong work ethic, attendance and punctuality.Ability to priorities and juggle conflicting tasks under pressureStrong interpersonal and communication skills.Previous experience with the Earthmoving Machinery(or…
