Our client is an independent, Australian owned and operated, Wharf and Container Transport and Warehousing company, founded over 10 years ago. With offices at major ports around Australia and the ability to manage the customs, biosecurity warehousing and distribution for its customers, this company is looking to add another talented recruit to its ranks.
The brand has quickly separated itself from other transport companies by continuing to provide the highest levels of service within a time critical point for their customers, not only in Australia but also overseas.
The Position
This company has a rare opportunity to joint their ranks in aFleet Controller working at the Botany, NSW offices.
The Fleet Controller will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Schedule and coordinate the fleet
- Reduce LTIs
- Reduce MTI/RTW
- Managing the transport activities for NSW
- Communicate with drivers and customers
- Allocate jobs
- Ensuring DIFOT target is met
The Package
Alongside full product and job training given by both my client and their customer covering both the logistics and operational parts of the role, the package on offer for the successful candidate is between $110,000 - $115,000 per year, plus superannuation.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role it is essential that the candidate has experience in importing and exporting regulations as well as booking interstate freight, good verbal and written communication is also required. Other attributes that would be highly desired by my client are:
- Two (2) years exposure in fleet or transport management working environment
- Port Experience
- Excellent verbal and organisational skills
- Must be flexible, forward- thinking, motivated, and have the ability to act independently
- Experience working with Freight Forwarding companies
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines with little impact to clients
- Customer service focused
- Be a team player, have a positive attitude and have the ability to work autonomously
- Holder of a Current Drivers Licence (HR or HC licence an advantage but not essential)
- Successful candidates may be required to undergo pre-employment medical testing
