We are now recruiting an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our motivational and dynamic professional team to bring the best service to our customers. You will report directly to the Manager and be responsible for overseeing and advising staff on all matters concerning the day-to-day running of job site operations.
You will need to perform the following duties:
- Provide oversight and guidance to staff on all aspects of day-to-day job site operations, including coordinating labour resources and procuring, delivering, and inspecting materials, plant, and equipment.
- Organize work schedules, develop project plans and budgets, and manage subletting processes.
- Interpret architectural drawings and specifications accurately.
- Negotiate with building owners, property developers, builders, subcontractors, architects, engineering professionals, and traders to establish project specifications and ensure timely, cost-effective project completion.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to secure profitable agreements.
- Ensure timely, cost-effective project delivery by setting benchmarks, agreeing on budgets, and monitoring progress.
- Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
- Determine necessary resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) required for each phase of the project while taking budgetary limitations into account.
- Plan and schedule all construction operations, including intermediate phases, to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain regular communication with main contractors, clients, and their representatives through meetings and progress reports.
- Procure necessary equipment and materials and maintain adequate stocks to handle any potential deficiencies.
- Hire contractors and staff and assign responsibilities.
- Supervise labourers, mechanics, and other personnel and provide guidance as needed.
- Evaluate progress and prepare internal and external reports on job status, progress, estimates, and deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building regulations throughout the project.
The essential requirements for this position:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Construction Project Manager or in a similar role.
- A friendly and team-oriented personality.
- A genuine passion for the construction industry.
