Who we are looking for

We are currently looking for a Fleet / Cross Dock Allocator to join our team located at Perth Airport. Working shifts Monday to Friday with additional hours and week-end coverage when required.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the allocation and distribution of goods within the fleet and across cross-dock facility. 

What your days would look like?

Key functions (but not limited to):

  • Optimise the assignment of vehicles, drivers, and equipment to meet delivery requirements - considering vehicle capacity, load characteristics, delivery schedules, and customer demands
  • Develop efficient delivery routes and schedules for the fleet 
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of vehicles at cross-dock facility, ensuring that products are organised and distributed effectively
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel, dockworkers, and drivers to facilitate smooth operations
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels at cross-docking facilities, ensuring that the right products are available for efficient distribution
  • Act as central point of contact between various stakeholders, including drivers, cross-dock/depot staff, suppliers, and customers
  • Communicate delivery schedules, address any issues or delays, and provide updates to relevant parties
  • Ensure that all transportation activities comply with relevant regulations and safety standards

 Do you tick these boxes?

  • Current Forklift Licence preferred
  • Previous experience in similar role within the transport and logistic industry
  • Relevant further education highly regarded
  • Strong safety culture and understanding of CoR
  • Attention to detail and ability to comply with company procedures and policies
  • Highly self-motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
