Nexus Airlines is seeking an experienced Fleet Service Manager – Part 121 to join our growing team. The primary function of this role is to ensure the continuing airworthiness for the CASR Part 121 aircraft fleet through direct consultation and interface with key responsible managers.
Key duties and responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensure compliance with CASR 1998, the Part 42 MOS, the CASA issued Part 42 approval and the exposition in relation to the continuing airworthiness of the fleet
- Conduct regular interactions with the Continuing Airworthiness Maintenance Organisation (CAMO) to review and discuss policy, procedures, compliance relating to the fleet
- Liaise with all stakeholders as required to maintain safe and compliant fleet within CASA regulations
- Actively participate in all internal and external audits and participate in safety management system around investigation of reports
- Manage relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) and other major product suppliers
- Manage third party AMO’s in ascertaining best value and performance in Base Maintenance contracts and work scopes
- Provide technical support to maintenance watch/line engineers in the event of difficult or ongoing aircraft defects that may require in-depth analysis, liaison with other sections or liaison with the OEM
- Ensure that company manuals, under your control, are kept up to date and made available to all relevant CAMO employees
- Actively participate in fleet reliability management
- Management of initial and ongoing airworthiness reviews
- Hold the Responsible Manager position for relevant aircraft as defined above
- Manage procurement activities to ensure required aeronautical product is available as required
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the CAMO exposition and CASA, EASA and FAA legislation
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant areas of the operations manual
- Specific technical knowledge of the aircraft within the fleet
- Experience in the development of maintenance programs and reliability program management
- Knowledge in management of airworthiness reviews
- Experience with introduction into service of aircraft including technical and commercial aspects of aircraft leasing
- High aptitude with CMMS and MS Office suit
- Extensive Industry experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skill
- Ability to obtain and hold an ASIC
- Hold or have held an AME licence and/or meet the requirements applicable to a Responsible Manager as defined by the Part 42 MOS
