Floating Plant Operator (Quarry)

About the role:

We are looking for a Plant Operator with previous experience in the mining and quarrying industry. The successful applicant will be based at our Mittagong Quarry and be required to travel and work between our various quarrying sites when needed. Our quarry sites are located across the Sydney Metro, Southern Highlands, and the Central West regions.

The ideal applicant will have previous experience in Excavator, Front-End Loader, Dozer, Compactor and Dump Truck operations. An understanding of screening, crushing, and washing plants will be highly regarded. This is a permanent full-time position and comes with a fully maintained company vehicle.

Responsibilities include:

• Safely and efficiently conduct excavation operations to extract materials.
• Ensure the smooth operation of the plant, performing routine inspections and pre-starts. 
• Collaborate with the team to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Quarrying and bulk earthworks,
• Crushing, screening and wash plant safe operation,
• A strong Work, Health & Safety focus

Desired skills and experiences:

• Proven experience as a Plant Operator,
• Proficient in the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery.
• Strong understanding of quarrying operations and material processing
