Your New Role:
We’re on the look-out for a talented Flood Engineer who’s ready to dive into flood management within our Shire! Reporting directly to the Design and Investigation Manager, you’ll play a key role in the continuous development and improvement to our community. Using your knowledge of best-practice flood risk planning and management, you’ll develop and implement Council’s floodplain management program in alignment with the NSW Government’s Floodplain Development Manual.
Day-to-day, you’ll enjoy the variety of both outdoor and indoor work; working on the completion of flood studies, risk management studies and data collection in line with allocated budgets, and assisting in the development of maintenance, renewal and upgrade programs for Council’s related assets. As a key technical resource, you’ll also leverage your expertise to assist KSC’s response approach to flood and storm emergency events, which involves the implementation of relevant emergency management plans and guides.

About You:
As the successful candidate, you’ll hold Tertiary qualifications in Engineering in addition to proven extensive work experience relevant to the role. You will bring your strong project management experience to assist in the coordination of contractors and the preparation of grant applications.
