About the role
Stamford Plaza Melbourne is seeking its next Food & Beverage Operations Manager to lead and develop our talented and passionate F&B team.
Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for all leading and mentoring our F&B team across the restaurant, bar & banqueting. You will have excellent communication skills and attention to detail in written, over the phone and in person communications. You will have a passion for providing 5 star service that our guests expect from our Stamford Hotels.
In this hands-on role, you will be a dynamic team player with excellent communication skills and the drive to make a difference.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
achievement of the food and beverage budget for all F&B outlets (restaurant, bar, banquets and room service)
develop and train staff on F&B standard operating procedures to maintain a high standard of service
overseeing the operations of banqueting
ensuring staff are well versed with the current menu and promotional offers
ensuring staff upsell food and beverage items
empowering staff to deliver exceptional customer service
managing, coaching and mentoring a team of food and beverage attendants
maintaining cleanliness standards in outlets including knowledge of food handling and hygiene
handling guest complaints with confidence and in a professional manner
Stamford Plaza Melbourne are looking for a person who has:
proactive and positive focus with a passion for the hotel and hospitality industry
experience as a Food and Beverage Outlets Manager in a 4 or 5 star hotel (highly desirable)
attained a current Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (mandatory)
computer literacy (MS Office, Micros, OPERA) (desirable)
ability to coach, mentor and lead a team of F&B attendants
strong accuracy and attention to detail
an ability to work under pressure
excellent customer service skills (both internal and external)
exceptional organisational skills and an ability to follow tasks through to completion
excellent problem solving
well groomed and professional in appearance
commitment with flexibility to work mornings, evenings, over nights, weekends and public holidays
