Food Production Cleaner

We are looking for experienced FoodProduction Cleaner to join our production team based at our facility in Kund Park were we produce delicious plant-based meats. The primary responsibility for this role is to assist with GMP of the production area, and also assist as a process worker when needed. 

We are looking for people who work best in a hands-on role, enjoy working as part of a diverse team but have the capacity to also work autonomously. The shift available is permanent full time Monday to Friday:

• Afternoon Shift – 1.00pm start to 09.00pm finish 

What will you be doing? 

Food Production Cleaner:

• Cleaning inside the factory  - cleaning will take place while the running of production and post production
• Cleaning of floors, walls, conveyors, machinery, trays and racks
• Sanitizing of machinery and all Food Production equipment to the highest standard
• Handwashing of machinery parts and utensils
• Machine operation  
• Deliver exceptional quality and results each shift– Detailed cleaning
• Monitor chemical usage and ensure adherence to PPE and chemical handling procedures
• Taking Out Rubbish
• Making sure that workstations are clean and free of hazardous materials.
• Assist with Assembly Line work - involves working on a line with repetitive actions and moving parts
• Lifting, pushing and pulling of racks and boxes up to 15kgs

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Have the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Able to work in cooler environments – our factory is around 8 degrees Celsius 
• High performer with initiative to learn other responsibilities
• Knowledge of hygiene practices, HACCP and GMP will be ADVANTAGEOUS 
• Good physical condition.
• Have a great eye for detail and take pride in your work and your team
• You enjoy doing repetitive work and like to know what your work is every day
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Experience working around machinery, industrial cutters & wash stations required
• Previous experience in a FMCG environment working as a cleaner it's a must.
• We want someone who is able to communicate, give suggestions as to what can be done better or differently and an all round hard worker.
• Must be available to work a 38hr week
