What will the role involve?
Preparing in bulk production our sauces, mayonnaise, dips, pesto’s and marinades:
- Locating, weighing and preparing batches of ingredients as per predetermined recipes to meet the demands of a set production schedule.
- Control and process the mixing of ingredients through specialised equipment to finish with a consistent high-end product.
- Using basic test equipment and interpreting results to monitor consistency of product manufacturer.
- Working as part of a team
- Work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to problem solve when product consistency does not conform with specifications to rectify product to meet the requirements set.
- Manage ingredient stock to maintain quality and levels, and report issues to team leaders.
- Assist the team in other areas to complete the manufacturing process to ensure a completed packaged product achieves desired production requirements and customer expectations.
- Fill out documentation in accordance with internal policies, procedures and food safety requirements.
- Monitor equipment performance and report any performance or maintenance requirements immediately.
- Set up, clean and pack down all equipment and workspaces.
Qualifications and Experience:
What we are looking for:
- Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) awareness
- Able to follow recipes and ingredient batching paperwork
- Positive attitude with a focus on teamwork
- Excellent problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Previous food industry experience or machine operation / process work (preferable)
- Quality awareness
