QMS Audits are an established, independent, Australian owned provider of Food Safety training, quality assurance consultancy and HACCP certification. We have had significant growth over the last nine years and have continued to grow in 2024.
The Role:
Reporting to the QMS Audits Directors, we are seeking a suitably experienced and qualified Food Safety Specialist and Trainer to join our growing team. The primary role of this position is to conduct Food Safety and Quality audits and deliver training to drive high level of compliance to the food standards code and relevant standards.
The role is based in Sydney and will require travel.

Key responsibilities:
· Deliver training across a large range of Food Safety, HACCP, ISO, quality and ethical based topics and standards.
· Write up HACCP Plans, quality manuals for HACCP, GFSI (SQF, BRCGS, FSSC 22000 and Freshcare) and ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
· Perform audits for HACCP Certification, Supplier Audits and Internal Audits
Essential skills, experience, and qualifications:
· Qualifications in Biological or Food Science or similar science based discipline.
· Current training and assessment qualifications (advantageous, but not essential)
· Minimum 10 years experience in Food Safety Compliance or quality role
· Demonstrated experience in managing GFSI programs, including conducting internal audits and managing audits.
· Strong understanding of Food Standards Code and GFSI Standards
· The ability to identify gaps and make practical recommendations for continuous improvement.
· A proactive and positive approach to resolving queries and problems.
· Highly developed written communication skills with the ability to maintain strong attention to detail.
· Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with people at all levels in an informative, accurate and positive manner.
· Ability to prioritise, organise and complete work within established deadlines, and maintain a consistent level of professionalism.
