About the role

As a Design Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the entire design process of Hitek Steel Framing products.
You will work closely with our clients, engineering team, and production department to ensure that all designs meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and exceptional communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the design process from initial concept to final approval, ensuring all designs are accurate and meet project specifications.
- Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers to gather project requirements and provide design solutions.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed drawings and specifications.
- Review and approve design documents to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are feasible and optimised for manufacturing.
- Manage project timelines and ensure that all design milestones are met on schedule.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct site visits as needed to assess project requirements and provide on-site design support.
- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in steel frame and truss design.
About you
To become part of the Hitek Team, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in design coordination/management within the residential construction industry.
- Experience in CAD-based design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods and building codes.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently manage tasks.
