Your role at St John of God Geelong Hospital
You will assist other members of the Food Services Department in providing high quality product and service to all customers, such as patients, caregiver and others.
Responsibilities include efficient delivery of service, clearing and assisting with the plating of meals and cleaning of all areas associated with Food Services Department, with a commitment to quality and productivity is expected. This position is varied over a number of different shifts.
The Position
Actively participates in the implementation of a safe food environment.
Carry out safe food handling techniques in relation to purchasing, receiving, storage, preparation and delivery.
Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene at all times while working in the kitchen.
Rreport in the first instance to the Team Leader in the matters concerning attendance, grievances, difficulties etc.
Work with all caregiver in maintaining cleanliness of working areas and other areas associated with Food Services in conjunction with the Food Safety Plan.
Conduct yourself in a courteous and proper manner whilst performing duties or accepting instructions.
Adhere to Infection Management Manual Policy and Procedures.
Maintain Universal Blood and Body Substances (BABS) Precautions at all times.
Compliance with Food Act 1984 and any amendments.
You will have the ability to deliver exceptional customer service, excellent excellent communication skills and experience with a Food Service environment.

Salary: $31.41 to 32.69 per hour (casual)
