This important role in our organization is here to facilitate the meals of our Aged care residents. You will be interacting with our residents and working in a team environment to deliver exceptional products and services in line with our organisational values.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing food in line with menus, dietary requirements, deadlines and budgets.
- Set up and clean serving areas, tables and other resident eating areas.
- Preparation and serving of food for special events and functions.
- Working with food and other stock to take deliveries, ensure adequate levels, rotation and minimising waste.
- Observation and reporting of unusual eating patterns of residents to relevant staff.
- Ensuring compliance to all WHS and HACCP procedures.
A successful applicant will need:
- an understanding of working with the elderly.
- to be willing to cooperate within a team environment
- skills in strict cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- the ability to utilise computer based programs and software.
- to be available within the hours of 07:30-15:00 and/or 16:00-20:00
While a Food Safety certificate would be preferred, it is not required.
