AddressMeracare Aged Care is a family owned residential care provider with homes in Carrum Downs, Frankston and Wangaratta. Meracare Carrum Downs and Frankston are 60 bed homes currently seeking casual and part-time experienced Food Services Assistants to join the team.
You will be responsible for the efficient preparation and serving of meals to residents in accordance with their dietary requirements, including supplements and texture modified foods. The role includes cleaning and maintaining the kitchen area, and successful applicants will also have experience in the preparation and presentation of food for different culturally and linguistically diverse residents. You will need to work independently and also as part of a team and have great communication skills, while also fluent in English both verbally and written.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Do Food Safely certificate/Food Handlers Certificate
- Experience in an Aged Care setting (essential)
- Knowledge of IDDSI scale, textured foods and modified fluids
- Current satisfactory police clearance
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccinations
