The Food Services Assistant (FSA) is accountable for the preparation and delivery of a quality food and beverage service, compliance with the food safety program and environmental cleanliness and waste control service in residential aged care
SELECTION CRITERIA :
• Must be able to work all shifts, weekly, morning, afternoon and weekends including public holidays
• Relevant experience in similar role in a health care setting
• Computer skills at a basic level
• Understanding of confidentiality
• Satisfactory National History Criminal Check prior to commencement of employment
• Food handler’s certificate
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisation skills
• Ability to work with a wide variety of people
• Self-motivated with a high level of communication and organisational skills demonstrated ability to work alone
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Work as part of a resident/patient focused team
• Provide excellent customer service at all times
• Follow daily duties list – as per Rostered Shift requirements.
• Ensure full compliance with all regulations relating to food/catering services
• Perform duties as established by job duties specific to areas or as directed by person in charge
