Due to expanding business opportunities across the construction section our client Accurate Asphalt is requiring an experienced Project Manager to join its operations team starting in January 2023.
Accurate Asphalt & Road Repairs (AARR) is a well established, dynamic, Newcastle based company, focused on the provision of a diverse range of road construction and maintenance services to Government, Public and Private sectors across NSW. Specialising in asphalt, in-situ stabilisation and civil construction AARR is committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and building strong customer relationships.
We are looking for a committed, experienced Asphalt Foreman with a positive attitude who is looking to build the best Asphalt team in the region. The job requires travel to areas primarily within a two-hour radius but may include further locations on occasions.

Responsibilities:
Working alongside our Asphalt Supervisor, technical and trades workers, you will hold responsibility for running an asphalt crew on our projects.
You will work with, motivate, inspire and lead the team to be highly productive, whilst ensuring projects are completed safely, professionally within the allocated time frame.
Position Requirements:
Pre-planning of works
Measuring and ordering materials, including plant and equipment
Coordinating the works each day including compliance paperwork
Organising and working with the asphalt crew
Monitoring the crews standard of work
Conducting daily toolbox meetings with crew
Ensuring adherence to quality, safety and environmental standards
Working hands-on, safely in an efficient working environment with your crew
Be physically fit and healthy
Essential Skills:
5 years’ experience in the asphalt industry, including a minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory role
Experience in working with State Road Authorities
Sound technical knowledge of asphalt materials and laying processes
Well-developed problem solving and organisational skills
Experienced in all aspects of asphalt laying including paver, screed, rolling and metrecut profiler operations
HR Licence
