About The Role
As a Forensic Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in handling various responsibilities related to insurance claims, fraud investigations, and court proceedings.
- Insurance Claims Analysis:
- Conduct thorough forensic accounting for insurance claims, specialising in areas such as business interruption, product liability/recall, and stock losses.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards in assessing insurance-related financial matters.
- Fraud Investigations and Internal Control Review:
- Undertake forensic accounting investigations to uncover fraudulent activities, contributing to the enhancement of internal controls.
- Conduct comprehensive internal control reviews to identify weaknesses and recommend improvements.
- Preparation of Accounting Evidence and Expert Reports:
- Prepare detailed accounting evidence and expert reports for use in court proceedings.
- Present complex financial information in a clear and accessible manner, providing valuable insights to support legal cases.
- Client Advisory on Various Matters:
- Provide bespoke advice to clients on a variety of matters, including business valuations, commercial loss and damage claims, and insurance events.
- Collaborate with clients to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their needs and expectations.
- 2-5 years Australia local experience in forensic gained in mid-tier environment.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Attention to details is a must.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as a team player.
- Sound knowledge in Australian legislation and standards.
- CA/CPA qualified or near completion.
- Strong client engagement and problem solving skills.
- Sound judgement and risk mindset.
