About the role
The KickStart Group Facilitator will deliver a combination of structured therapeutic individual and group program specifically for men who are involved in the justice system where a link has been identified between offending behaviour and substance use. The group program is based on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and it supports participants to reduce substance related offending whilst providing a holistic approach for behavioural change.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Qualifications in AOD studies
- An ability to provide initiative and innovation, ability to work in a changing environment with flexibility and problem solving skills.
- Diploma or degree level qualification in Alcohol and Drug studies
- Experience in design and completion of quality projects, clinical audit activities and clinical research
- At least three years’ experience and demonstrated skills in alcohol and other drug assessments, withdrawal management, case management and client referral
- Experience in working with forensic clients in group and individual treatment settings
- Proactive coordination of group and individual forensic program activities
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
