About the role

This role draws upon extensive service delivery expertise in community-based Mental Health and/or forensic services to build capability through clinical guidance, supervision and coaching, enabling the team to deliver an impactful, high quality and safe service. FMHiCH is delivered from cohealth offices in Collingwood and Footscray, with staff collocated at Corrections offices across the North West. Travel across the entire catchment will therefore be expected in this role.

Your duties include:

  • Facilitate delivery of the FMHiCH program, in compliance with funder requirements and performance measurements and within budget/funding provisions, including timely and professional report writing and data collection;
  • Guide and oversee the FMHiCH team, ensuring team members meet their personal and team objectives effectively
  • Utilising clinical reasoning, support the team in undertaking comprehensive psychosocial assessments and formulating targeted treatment plans/interventions with achievable goals for clients

Our ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a health-related discipline (e.g. social work, medicine, nursing, allied health), or relevant field
  • Proof of qualification to be sighted
  • Comprehensive leadership and management experience working in a Mental Health, community or forensic setting, with marginalised populations;
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in developing and leading team and organisational culture and lifting team performance to achieve high quality client care

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Police Check, a Working With Children Check (WWCC), complete a Statutory Declaration, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination against COVID-19 (3 doses). Additionally, some roles will also require current AHPRA registration and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.

Roles that are determined to be Risk Category A or B [staff that have direct and/or indirect contact with body substances and are at higher risk of occupational exposure to infections] will be required to provide evidence of immunisation assessment including Influenza prior to commencement [A] or within 12 weeks of commencement [B]. This is in accordance with the Victorian Minister of Health Mandatory Vaccination Orders for COVID-19 and legislated requirement for influenza vaccination.
