About the clinic
We are a mid-sized multidisciplinary children's mental health service, comprising of psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists and Mental Health Accredited Social Worker. Our clinicians assess and treat a broad range of diagnoses and presentations; working together with other therapists/ organisations and families to provide a high quality standard mental health care.

Duties of the position include:
- Providing and maintaining an exceptional and professional first point of contact experience for patients and visitors to the practice.
- Providing leadership, direction and support to the administration team
- Genie diary management
- Liaison with external stakeholders.
- Answering phones and emails.
- Maintaining the practice space, resetting & stocking consult rooms.
- Managing daily checklists.
- Proofing & sending outgoing letters via Medical Objects
- Patient billing & receipting for consults.
- Supporting the practice manager
- Mentoring, promoting and fostering a positive and supportive team culture
We are looking for someone with:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a senior role within a health care setting.
- Experience with Genie software preferred, not essential
- A keen interest in pursuing a career in medical administration management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; displaying a professional, compassionate, friendly and respectful manner towards patients, practice staff and medical professionals
- Proven experience in team management
- Have the ability to prioritise tasks and have excellent time management skills
- The ability to demonstrate initiative and common sense
- A warm, calm and reassuring demeanor - putting our vulnerable patient population at ease
- High level of attention to detail
- A sound understanding of privacy and confidentiality
- At ease working in a digital workplace
- Ability to take direction & collaborate
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
