Forklift Operator

As a dedicated and flexible Forklift Operator, you will enjoy variety in your working day, ensuring the loading and unloading of general freight from trucks, rail wagons and containers.
Your Duties will include:
- Responsible for the safe and compliant operation of forklift equipment
- Comply with document handling and control procedures for all relevant freight documents, including but not limited to con-notes and load sheets
- Required to complete pre-start check on machinery and equipment that will be in use and report any problems, issues or required maintenance
- Ensure dangerous goods are handled in compliance with legal requirements and quarantine goods are stored correctly
- Communicate with truck drivers, fleet controllers, transport managers and administration staff and other terminals to ensure correct freight is collected, loaded and unloaded safely
- Inspect loads and goods for damage or issues, report problems and offer suggestions or solutions
- Comply with pallet management and control procedures
- Other reasonable duties as required
- Forklift Licence essential
- At least 1 year of experience is required in the same role
- Manual Handling Skills
- Dangerous Goods Licence highly advantageous
- Excellent customer service and communication skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment; and
- The right to live and work in Australia.
