Form of workAre you looking for an exciting role in the transport industry? We are currently seeking a Full Time role based in our Adelaide Depot to join our growing team of transport professionals. This role is a varied role combing forklift driving, yard hard and local truck driving work.
D & S Smith Haulage is a South Australian, family owned Transport Company with multiple site locations in SA and is built on the foundation values of Respect, Family and Integrity, which underpin all aspects of our operations.
The ideal candidate will be willing to uphold these values and contribute to the business. You will thrive working in a small team, have strong multi-tasking skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Aspects of this role include but are not limited to:
- Local Truck Deliveries
- Loading and unloading vehicles as required
- Handling Pallets
- Opening/closing Tautliners, removing gates & strapping
- Understanding Load restraint compliance
- Some Manual Handling
- Receivals & dispatch of freight
To be Successful in this role, it is essential that you have:
- Forklift License
- HC License
- Transport Loading Experience
- High degree of accuracy / attention to detail
- Car license
