Job tasks and responsibilities
We are seeking full-time forklift operators with loading experience and General Labourers to work on the morning shift of our transport department at our Somerton, VIC depot. Your hours will generally be 6:00am - 2:06pm. Your roles will include:
Forklift Operators
- Operating a forklift to move, unload, load, or put away freight.
- Unloading inbound and outbound trucks safely, including B-doubles, Semis, Rigids, etc.
- Ensure shipments are accurate, free of damage, and labelled clearly.
- Efficiently and securely stack and store products in appropriate areas.
- Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars or trailers.
- Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
Labourers
- Picking orders as required
- Ensure shipments are accurate, free of damage, and labelled clearly.
- Efficiently and securely stack and store products in appropriate areas.
- Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
Skills and experience
Candidates must be experienced in the operation of forklifts, with truck loading experience. Candidates must have a relevant forklift license.
You must be literate and numerate with some basic computer skills.
