Our client is currently seeking a skilled Formwork Carpenter to join their team for an exciting reservoir construction project. They are a multi-utility infrastructure and civil contracting company specialising in electricity, sewer and water, and civil works.
As a Formwork Carpenter specialising in reservoir projects you will be responsible for constructing and assembling the formwork necessary to support concrete structures specific to reservoir construction. Your expertise will ensure the integrity and durability of these vital water storage facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construct and assemble formwork for concrete foundations, walls, and other structural elements of reservoirs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the dimensions, materials, and installation processes required for reservoir construction.
- Cut, shape, and smooth timber and other materials to create forms tailored to reservoir structures.
- Install formwork using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
- Work closely with engineers and other team members to ensure accurate and timely project completion.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines specific to reservoir construction.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Trade qualification in carpentry or a related field
- Proven experience as a Formwork Carpenter, particularly in large-scale infrastructure or reservoir projects.
- Proficient in using carpentry tools and equipment.
- Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and safety regulations specific to reservoir construction.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Australian citizen or resident with full work rights
