AddressAbout the Role:
An enticing opportunity awaits an enthusastic Foundation Primary teacher, to join a small Foundation team in a community-oriented Catholic school in Hoppers Crossing later this term.
This collaborative school, with around 400 students in straight classes, is on the lookout for a passionate, empathetic educator with a strong collaborative skill set to be part of a newly formed grade with lower student numbers.
The school provides support for both experienced and graduate teachers who are based in Australia and have full working rights. The school maintains excellent student behaviour, offers learning coaching, and boasts ample resources.
Key duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the Victorian curriculum
- Establish and maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, including managing student behaviour, fostering positive relationships, and promoting mutual respect among students.
- Design and administer assessments, to evaluate students' understanding and provide timely feedback to students and parents on their progress and areas for improvement.
- Provide additional support and assistance to students who require differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities or English language learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving student learning outcomes.
- Participate in team meetings, grade-level planning, and school-wide initiatives to support the school community.

Skills & Experience:
- Must hold Full Australian Working Rights
- Have VIT registration
- Previous experience in Primary teaching advantageous, although open to graduates
- Ability to provide contact details for three education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
