About The Role
This position will mainly work in Literacy and Numeracy Support, which is a Victorian government funded program that provides a Foundation Skills teacher to work with a trade trainer to build students’ literacy, numeracy, and digital skills, setting them up for success at TAFE and in their career.
As a motivated and enthusiastic teacher, you will deliver the Foundation Skills course to our students. You will provide high quality and innovative course materials and excellent teaching delivery to students and institute clients to support learner engagement and success, whilst providing guidance and assistance to others within the department.
Selected Duties:
- Effectively utilise your communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate the commitment and capacity to develop the skills required to convey your knowledge, skill, and experience to TAFE students.
- Demonstrate your capacity to plan, schedule and manage your time to meet agreed deadlines.
- Deliver quality education programs to our students.
About You
Skills & Experience
- Have sound knowledge of the ACSF
- Have demonstrable expertise, knowledge and skills in the vocational contextualisation and assessment of the core skills
- Have completed the following or equivalent:
- TAESS00009 Address Foundation Skills in Vocational Practice Skill Set; or
- A higher level education qualification, such as:
- TAE80113 Graduate Diploma of Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Practice (and its equivalent TAE70111); or
- Bachelor of Education, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Education, or higher. This may include qualifications relating to TESOL, adult education or vocational education.
