FPM Planner/Document Controller

Northparkes Operations is a copper and gold mine located 27 kilometres north-west of Parkes, in the Central West of New South Wales, Australia. Our operation is made up of an underground block cave mine, a sub-level cave, open pits and an ore processing plant which produces copper concentrate for export. Parkes is a well-established rural and mining community with a population of approximately 16,000 people. The town offers educational, sporting, medical and recreational facilities.

Our FPM Planner/Document Controller role:

This position is within the Asset Management Department, reporting to the Fixed Plant Maintenance Planning & Scheduling Coordinator. 50% of your role will be accountable for the planning activities for fixed plant assets at NPM to ensure business performance and Zero Harm Operations.

The other 50% of the role will contribute to master data management and updating and development of FPM documents e.g. Maintenance Work Instructions needed to perform maintenance work efficiently and to timeframes that support business performance and strategy.

This position is a permanent opportunity, working a Monday - Friday, 9-day fortnight roster based in Parkes NSW. Attractive employee benefits are available including relocation, subsidised private health cover, and the opportunity for increased superannuation contributions.

The successful applicant will possess the following essential criteria:

• Mechanical or Electrical Trade Certificate
• Demonstrated post apprenticeship in mining or heavy industry
• Developed written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Current manual driver’s license
