The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Franchise Development Specialist. This pivotal role is integral in managing our real estate operations and driving strategic growth for Oakberry, including business development and the expansion of new product offerings.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Drive franchise recruitment process, engaging with high-potential franchisees to expand Oakberry’s network.
- Identify and secure franchise partners through online platforms, industry events, and strategic networking.
- Develop and execute creative strategies to generate leads and build a strong pipeline of qualified prospects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential franchisees, guiding them through the discovery and onboarding process.
- Work with internal teams to ensure smooth integration for new franchisees.
- Conduct detailed assessments of potential franchisees to ensure they align with Oakberry’s brand values and business model.
- Support Oakberry’s growth through the development and introduction of new product offerings.
- Identify and secure new store locations through market research and analysis.
- Evaluate site suitability based on demographics, foot traffic, competition, and market trends.
- Negotiate favorable lease agreements for new locations.
- Conduct site visits to ensure locations meet Oakberry’s operational and brand standards.
- Stay informed about local zoning laws, regulations, and market conditions that could impact Oakberry’s real estate decisions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field;
- Proven experience in real estate management, preferably within the retail or food industry;
- Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to secure favourable lease agreements;
- Excellent analytical skills to conduct thorough market and location analyses;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with brokers, landlords, franchisees and other stakeholders;
- Proactive and results-driven;
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment;
- Knowledge of the Australian retail and real estate market is a plus.
