Job Description
As The Yiros Shop continues to grow in new and exciting directions, we are looking for a creative, organised, and self-motivated Freelance Creative Designer & Animation Specialist to join our Marketing team. If suitable, we can accommodate a long-term position.
Working Hours: 20-25hrs (Hours can be increased in time)
Location of work: Remote/ in the office if located in South Brisbane
Language: Intermediate+ English required
Responsibilities
- Visual Design Creation: Develop visually captivating graphics, illustrations, and designs for various platforms, maintaining consistency in brand identity and messaging across all materials.
- Campaign Development: Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to conceptualise and execute innovative marketing campaigns. Translate ideas into compelling visual content that drives engagement and conversion.
- Animation Production: Create captivating animations that enhance the brand's online presence. Develop animated content for social media, websites, and marketing materials to tell engaging stories and capture audience attention.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all design and animation work aligns with brand guidelines, maintaining a cohesive visual identity across all touchpoints.
- Adaptability and Learning: Stay updated with industry trends, design techniques, and software updates to enhance skills and continually bring fresh ideas to the table.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work under tight timelines.
- Multichannel Campaign Optimization: Strategically create and adapt campaign visuals and animations for different marketing channels while maintaining consistency and maximising impact. Tailor designs to suit the nuances and user behaviours of specific platforms, ensuring each campaign resonates effectively across diverse channels.
- Proven Design Experience: Demonstrated experience of a minimum of 3 years in graphic design, preferably within the food or hospitality industry. A robust portfolio showcasing a range of design styles and campaign work is essential.
- Mastery of Design Tools: Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and animation software (After Effects, etc.). Knowledge of other relevant tools is a plus.
- Creative Vision: Ability to conceptualise and execute innovative design solutions that align with brand guidelines while pushing creative boundaries. Strong visual storytelling skills and a keen eye for detail are crucial.
- Campaign Ideation: Proven track record in generating creative ideas and strategies for marketing campaigns. Understanding consumer behaviour and market trends to create engaging visuals that resonate with the target audience.
- Animation Expertise: Experience in creating compelling animations that enhance brand storytelling and digital presence. Proficiency in motion graphics, transitions, and effects to elevate static designs into dynamic, attention-grabbing visuals.
- Collaborative Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Comfortable receiving and implementing feedback to refine designs and campaigns.
- Multichannel Marketing Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of different advertising and marketing channels (social media, print, digital, etc.) and how to tailor design and campaign strategies for each channel's unique requirements. Ability to adapt visual content to suit various platforms and optimise engagement.
