This is a full-time permanent position. Hours of work are full time 38 hours per week rostered Monday to Friday. The pay rate will be commensurate with relevant industry experience.
OCAM Global Logistics has created an exciting position to join and be part of a vibrant and fun team environment! We are looking for an operations/import operator who can work unsupervised and support the OCAM Global Logistics functions.
Reporting to the Branch Manager
Responsibilities :
- Play a key role in customer implementation, development, and retention, actively managing own customer accounts, and providing quality customer service and regular communication
- Manage client relationships with a focus on meeting contractual obligations and service levels by:
- Ensuring regular and consistent communication with designated clients at all times
- Maintaining and updating client information regarding contractually agreed service level agreements, rates, and charges
- Manage and respond to client enquiries ensuring accurate and timely communication regarding:
- Status of order processing, Proof of Delivery (PODs)
- Shipment status from order supply to delivery at final destination
- Applicable rates and charges
Skills, Experience, Knowledge Required:
- 2+ years’ industry experience in Freight Forwarding
- Liaising with overseas agents
- Job registrations
- Lodge Sea Cargo
- Liaising Brokers
- Accounting
- Liaising with customers
- Liaising with transport companies
- High level of understanding of LCL/FCL/FCX
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work effectively on competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to develop strong, professional relationships with customers, industry partners, vendors, and colleagues
