ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for originating new client relationships, while renewing and growing existing clients, and driving partnership discussions.
Key areas also include building a dynamic set of growth opportunities through new business and identifying leads. Driving revenue and maintaining a high level of customer service focus is paramount in this role.
The team have autonomy to do what needs to be done and are supported through communication and experience. The business is developing a culture of high customer service, and this is being driven by our on-going commitment to the training of staff and providing an environment in which the company can retain and empower the employees further in their own career development.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Build a dynamic set of growth opportunities through new Business Development and identifying leads
- Generating revenue across existing accounts
- Diligently responsible for planning and managing direct sales activities to prospect and attain new accounts and develop weekly, monthly and yearly pipeline (minimum 15 client visits per week)
- Identify market trend and translate insights into actionable plans
- Achieving sales targets, set KPI's and negotiate customer contracts
- Willingness to challenge the status quo, explore new avenues, and present creative solutions.
- Monthly reporting on pipeline to Sales Director
- Achieve monthly and yearly targets and KPI’s set
ABOUT YOU:
- Demonstrated experience of building market and industry relationships
- High-level communication skills
- Demonstrated experience with selling FCL and air freight solutions
- Currently employed in a Business Development capacity within the International Freight Forwarding Sector or similar
- KAMs looking to take the next step will be considered for one of the roles
- Stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to negotiate
- Experience with design and implementation of Business Development strategy
- Conflict resolution skills
- Ability to self motivate and motivate a team
- Experience working to and exceeding targets
