Job Description
The role of Front-End Developer at Mighty Build and Test is a technical role where you'll work with our Tools Development Team to frame and present data captured by our automated testing solutions within client-facing dashboards. Additionally, you will work to improve the usability of existing web-based editor tools used by team members to create and manage Automation Scripts running on test instances.
The responsibilities of the Front-End Developer role at Mighty Build and Test can be broken down into the following core areas:
Development
- Develop readable, intuitive frameworks to present game testing reports to our clients - with data captured in the form of Text, Images and Dynamic Media.
- Build upon existing dashboard frameworks to ensure that clients can easily browse historical Reports, Build Version Histories, and other script-generated content.
- Create frameworks for accessible, human-created information within client-facing dashboards including Project Status Reports, Documentation and other key information.
- Create systems to allow clients to view database information, including data with Non-English (RTL & Special Character) strings and associated images.
- Design, Develop and Deliver an UX upgrade to internal-facing testing management tools.
- Design methods of displaying performance-based testing data captured within discrete areas, levels or segments of a game.
- Improve upon the presentation and performance of web-based video streaming systems to ensure internal staff and clients can monitor the behavior of test-instances.
- Generate Interactive UX Mockups with input from stakeholders.
- Use development practices that provide flexibility to alter and adjust presentation of front-end work, as required during soft-rollout periods of significant updates.
- Collaborate with client-management teams to ensure work is fit-for-purpose.
- Collaborate closely with back-end web and infrastructure developments to ensure
- Write and update internal documentation for new features
Providing general assistance, guidance and support to all areas of the business by;
- Attending Team Weekly Ops and Individual Performance Meetings
- Keeping abreast of daily/ weekly departmental priorities
- Documenting work done in internal ticketing tools
- Assisting with staff training if required
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum two years experience as a front-end developer working with:
- Cloud-based implementations, integration and optimization
- SPA based concepts with React/nextJS or similar frameworks
- Creating and using modular component project structures
- Dynamic print templates
- Analytics tracking and logging
- Experience creating dynamic UX Prototypes (Figma, Adobe XD, Marvel etc)
- Experience with AWS cloud systems
- Ability to work independently
- Awareness of video-streaming systems, presentation and viewer-side resource consumption (OBS, StreamLabs FFSplit etc)
- Awareness of Localisation processes for Applications or Games may assist in ensuring some front-end areas are fit-for-purpose
- Experience working within a CI/CD environment
- Experience working with QA Teams is a bonus
- Experience in Full Stack development is a bonus
