Mars have partnered with a well-known retail client who are seeking a passionate and experienced Front-End Developer. You will be responsible for creating visually appealing and user-friendly experiences within 3rd party SaaS website personalisation platform for their ecommerce brands. This position requires a blend of creativity and technical expertise, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality, scalable, and responsive designs.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, implement, or modify responsive web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders to translate mock-ups into functional web designs, campaigns, and pages.
- Optimize for maximum speed and scalability.
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of created or modified experiences.
- Collaborate with back-End Developers to integrate front-end components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues reported by users.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and propose innovative solutions to enhance user experience.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Front-End Developer.
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Strong knowledge of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and package managers (e.g., npm).
- Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image.
- Keen interest in & good eye for design.
- Strong understanding of website UX.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (preferred).
