Why not see where we can go?Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Front End developer to join our Sydney team on a 12 month FTC.Please note: Only Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents can be considered at this timeAs a Front End developer, you will deliver solid solutions to complex problems and can lead a team to provide consistent, high-quality code. Your attention to your stakeholders' business needs influences functional design, prototyping, process design (including scenario design), testing, as well as training and supporting implementation teams. You are the conduit between business, technology and creative and are able to work with a medium to large team to deliver successful projects.
You will:
  • Develop high quality solutions, both big and small
  • Architect the front-end solution for a variety of projects including CMS implementations, HTML template development and tools.
  • Be adept and can quickly move from fuzzy problems to working solution prototypes.
  • Be across the current and future state of digital technologies.
YOUR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Analyse specified requirements and design appropriate software to implement functional and non-functional requirements
  • Deliver robust and reliable software with a keen attention to detail to ensure the product is easy to maintain and has appropriate unit test coverage
  • Assist the Product Owner and Development Manager as required in ensuring all work is delivered in an appropriate and effective manner
  • Ensure all work completed conforms to established programming standards utilising common design patterns where appropriate
  • Provide guidance of colleagues and other developers to ensure delivery aligns to specified functional and non-functional requirements
Qualifications
  • In depth knowledge of reactive programming (RxJS)
  • Skilled with frontend application state management using Redux
  • Advanced knowledge in HTML and CSS/SASS
  • Advanced knowledge in JavaScript (ES5, ES6+ and jQuery)
  • Working knowledge of Typescript
  • Experience with AngularJS (1.6+) and component-based architecture
  • Strong unit testing skills
  • Proven ability to replicate visual design concepts into working HTML prototypes and templates
  • Knowledge of Responsive Design and its implementation across browsers and devices
  • Cross-browser compatibility experience for all major browsers (IE8+, Chrome, Firefox, Safari)
  • Experience with frontend project environment setup and configuration (Webpack/Rollup, Gulp/Grunt)
  • Experience with version control systems e.g. GIT
  • Experience working with Cloud platforms particularly Azure
  • Good understanding of User Experience focused on web standards
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Thorough understanding of the development process, project management principles, client relationship
management
  • Willingness to learn new things and teach others what you know
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, or with a team
  • Team player with excellent collaboration skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Financial Services background
  • Life insurance experience well regarded
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum four years of relevant consulting, digital agency or industry experience with hands on development
