Paddock Bakery is a highly successful café and bakery originating in Burleigh Heads QLD, famous for their wood fired sourdough, 1kg cookies and “cruffins”. Paddock Bakery is the Gold Coast’s best and most awarded café for breakfast and lunch. Already with over 100k followers on Instagram, Paddock Bakery is looking to take Greater Geelong by storm and become a world-class destination within the historical Federal Mills precinct.
The heart and soul of Paddock Bakery is our hand-built red brick wood fire ovens. This is where it all started, and we are excited to keep the flame alive into our new venue. All we need now is a passionate, energetic team to bring their creative flair and assist with the opening and development of the business. Paddock Bakery is looking to open their Geelong bakery in early 2024.

Key accountabilities:
- Managing Front of House and Bar team on shift
- Drive and manage day-to-day service operations
- Setting up café for service
- Opening/Closing of dining area and computer systems
- Team training and development
- Financial responsibility including cash handling and cash reporting
- General Front of House duties
- Point of contact for team enquires
- Create a collaborative culture between Front of House and baking/kitchen staff
- Ensuring team practice high standards of hygiene, safety, and general housekeeping
- Develop a fun, safe atmosphere for patrons and team
About you:
- Previous experience in a similar leadership role
- 3+ years in hospitality industry
- Previous experience in bakery or café is essential
- Passion for the hospitality industry
- Food, wine, and beverage knowledge
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong leadership skills
- Current Victorian RSA certificate
- Able to work with minimal supervision at times
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Drivers license and own vehicle
