Job description

The Groove Train Chirnside Park is looking for an energetic and dynamic Front of House (FOH) Manager to lead our vibrant team. As the FOH Manager, you'll be the heartbeat of our restaurant, ensuring that every guest leaves with a smile. Key Responsibilities:

Guest Experience Champion:

   - Deliver exceptional customer service with a personal touch.

   - Address guest feedback with grace and efficiency.

   - Be the friendly face that welcomes and interacts with guests, ensuring their experience is top-notch.

Team Leader Extraordinaire:

   - Recruit, train, and inspire a high-performing FOH team including servers, hosts, and bartenders.

   - Create shift tun sheets that balance team needs and optimize service.

   - Conduct regular performance reviews and foster a positive, engaging work environment.

Operations Maestro:

   - Oversee daily opening and closing procedures to ensure a smooth operation.

   - Maintain a pristine and inviting restaurant ambiance.

   - Manage reservations and ensure optimal table turnover for a seamless guest flow.

Financial Savvy:

   - Keep an eagle eye on labor costs and FOH expenses.

   - Assist in hitting sales targets and maximizing revenue opportunities.

   - Ensure accurate cash management and financial reporting.

Safety and Compliance Guru:

   - Uphold health and safety standards, keeping the FOH in compliance with regulations.

   - Stay current on food safety and hygiene practices.

   - Conduct regular inspections to maintain a safe and clean environment.

Promotions and Event Enthusiast:

   - Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute exciting promotions and events.

   - Drive guest engagement for our popular event nights and music bingo events.

   - Ensure promotional materials are vibrant and effectively communicated to guests.

Team Player:

   - Work hand-in-hand with the kitchen team and Front of the house team to ensure smooth service delivery.

   - Foster effective communication between all departments.

   - Participate in management meetings and contribute to strategic planning.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 1 years experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.

- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.

- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.

- Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and cost control.
