This is an ideal opportunity for self-motivated, enthusiastic customer focused individuals to join our small team based at Mt Buller. Applicants must be willing to work flexible hours.

As a Guest Service representative, you will be the first point of contact for the majority of our guests, you will be expected to maintain a pleasant and professional manner. Guest service is of the highest importance for all BSL staff and everyone is expected to wear a smile to work.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Professionally and enthusiastically answering guest inquiries, both in-house and upcoming.
  • Providing guests with extensive information about Mt Buller, including accommodation, snow products, transport and activities
  • Organising and sending pre-arrival information to guests
  • Pre-Arrival and Post-Departure apartment checks
  • Responding promptly to all guests' requests, enquiries and complaints
  • Liaising with Housekeeping, Reservations and Maintenance teams
  • Follow all company standards in regards to safety protocol, cash management and standard operating procedures
  • Assisting Mt Buller Chalet Hotel Reception on a needs basis.

We're looking for people with:

  • A minimum of 12 months experience in an accommodation environment, i.e. housekeeping, hotel reception or reservations - preferred
  • Proven experience in a customer service role - required
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills, including the ability to speak, read and write fluently in English – required
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain excellent accuracy and attention to detail - required
  • Computer proficiency, including ability to easily and efficiently navigate and toggle between multiple screens, talk and type simultaneously, and troubleshoot basic computer issues - required
  • Passion for and understanding of ski, resort and tourism industry - preferred
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service - required
  • Ability to multitask and work independently - required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; apartments are open 7 days a week and hours vary – required
