Home to the award-winning Hunter Valley Conference and Events Centre, Rydges Resort Hunter Valley has room to accommodate intimate gatherings of 10 or milestone moments hosting up to 1,100 attendees.
Our resort is seeking applications from a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to oversee the Reception & Concierge teams in a full-time capacity as our next Front Office Manager.
About the role
As the consummate hands-on leader, you will create Hotel Front Office & Concierge teams who are highly customer focused delivering exceptional guest service, whilst proactively driving and maximising revenue and upselling programs.
You will be an experienced senior hotel leader who enjoys leading by example and working closely with your team, seeing the value in coaching and developing individuals around you.
This is a satisfying and challenging role with lots of moving parts that will allow you to further stretch your leadership, commercial acumen, organisational skills and exceptional guest deliverables within a high performing environment.
What we need from you
Reporting into the Director of Rooms you'll have:
- Previous Hotel Front Office Management experience in a large hotel or resort
- Work alongside the team to ensure best outcomes for the department and communicate regularly with Director of Rooms as well as Hotel Manager
- Superior leadership skills, with the ability to engage, train, nurture and coach a team to achieve it’s maximum potential
- Confidence in communicating challenges alongside guests and team, transforming dilemmas into success stories through creative solutions
- Closely monitor budgets, expenditure, and revenue to make informed operational decisions and achieve financial objectives including payroll
- Extensive experience using Opera PMS is essential
- Outstanding service standards preferably in a large resort style environment
- Ability to work weekends as per business demands
- You must meet the legal requirements to live & work in Australia as no sponsorships will be given.
