Front Office / Reservations & Guest Services

The Bay Village Tropical Retreat in Cairns is looking for a capable, reliable person for a full time role in their Front Office.

The position will require flexibility with shifts which will be worked across a seven day roster with a variety of morning, afternoon and evening shifts.

Preference will be given to candidates with sound experience in a similar role and a background in tourism/hospitality.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Processing reservations both online and by phone. Ensuring accuracy and hotel procedures are followed.
• Strong customer focus with a natural ability to solve a range of issues with a calm, courteous and efficient manner.
• The ability to work unsupervised with a responsible and well organised approach. Able to perform both opening and closing procedures.
• Able to balance daily transactions to system reports. Cash handling and daily reporting.
• A great team worker with a strong ability to fit in and work with the team contributing to the smooth running of all Front Office operations.
• Liaise with other departments.
