About the role
In Reception / Reservations, you will be required to;
- Assist in directing and coordinating the activities of the front desk, reservations, guest services, and telephone / booking areas.
- Work with the Front Office team to ensure guest satisfaction and timely accurate receipting of all payments.
- Assist in facilitating and monitoring the implementation of all systems and associated policies, procedures, guidelines, and programs.
- Be responsible for providing friendly, welcoming and efficient service to all Binna Burra guests, in line with our vision and values on customer satisfaction.
- Respond courteously to guest request and questions.
- Assist in the daily running of the reception desk and assist the FO & Reservations Manager to maintain an efficient and smooth-running room bookings service.
- To administer all routes of reservations and ensure accommodation bookings are made, recorded and confirmed accurately.
- To keep up to date on all room rates and special offers to provide accurate information to reservation requests and bookings.
- To take bookings for guest activities.
- To be responsible for maintaining accurate guest accounts and guest billing processes.
- To be responsible for maintaining third party/agent accounts and virtual credit card payment and invoicing processes.
- To ensure an accurate reconciliation of all daily transactions.
- To undertake general office duties, including correspondence, emails, filing and telephone duties to ensure the smooth operations of the reception area.

Skills and experience
Skills required;
- Previous experience in a similar role with an eco-friendly or remote location hotel.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory hotel receptionist role.
- Strong leadership and associate’s management skills with ability to create a motivating environment.
- Experience in leading a developing a team. With a strong focus on training, sales, and customer service.
- Demonstrated hands-on approach. With a clear focus on quality and standards.
- Well presented with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Strong organisational skills with clear focus on quality and standards.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite). Property Management System experience essential, Newbook preferable.
Binna Burra Lodge is located in the beautiful Gold Coast Hinterland's, this is a 35 minute drive from Nerang, 60 minutes from Surfers Paradise and 90 minutes from Brisbane.
Own transport is essential, complimentary staff parking on-site.
