We are looking to engage the services of an experienced Frontier Software Administrator to work for our federal government client. Successful candidates must be Australian citizens currently residing in Australia, with a preference for having an active AGSVA security clearance (Baseline or NV1).

Here are some of the duties you will perform
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and resilient infrastructure environments to support the development, testing, and production phases of software projects.
- Perform system administration tasks, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of servers, operating systems, databases, and other critical infrastructure components.
- Design, implement, and maintain network architecture, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud-based networks, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, including access control, data encryption, intrusion detection/prevention, and vulnerability management across infrastructure and network environments.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, capacity, and resource utilization through proactive performance tuning, capacity planning, and infrastructure scaling.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, including backup and recovery strategies, to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime in the event of system failures or disasters.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and policies, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and organizational standards.
- Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system engineers, and IT support staff, to address technical challenges, provide support, and facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Proven experience in system administration, network management, and infrastructure design, deployment, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows server environments, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, and switching.
- Experience with security technologies and practices, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint security, and security compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, MCSA, RHCSA, or equivalent are a plus.
