An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent, part time Frontline Service Officer to join Isaac Regional Council's Planning, Environment & Community Services Directorate based in Glenden. Reporting to the Community Hub Area Leader – East, this position is responsible for providing effective and courteous delivery of library and customer focused functions to the Isaac Region communities.
The successful applicant will be primarily located in Middlemount but will be subject to travel throughout the Region and may include overnight stays in Council accommodation. We are looking for a person who is passionate about providing exemplary customer experience and delivering Library programs. Duties will include (but not limited to):
Library
- Develop, lead and deliver lifelong learning programs and activities
- Undertake library resource loans, reference queries using library management system
- Contribute to the daily operations of a library
- Managing incoming calls and customer service inquiries
- Identifying and fulfilling customer needs to achieve satisfaction
- Handling complaints, providing appropriate solutions and alternatives
- Accurate Receipting and Cash handling
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of high-level customer service and/or library services
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering lifelong learning programs/events
- High level experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience in using technology
- Ability to work as a team and autonomously
- Blue Card from the Commission for Children, Young People and Child Guardian, or ability to obtain prior to commencement
- Salary $36.95 – 40.57 per hour (Stream A, Level 2 – Level 3)
- Permanent Position
- Part time – 36 Hours per fortnight
- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading pro rata;
- Up to 13.5% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement;
