Job description

Maintenance and Improvement is looking for a permanent Infrastructure Services Officer to join their Maintenance Operations Team.

You will assist in leading members of a team, contributing to managing the planning and delivery of maintenance programs for schools, staff housing and early childhood education and care centres.

We are looking for an agile and enthusiastic person who can manage the planning and delivery of Maintenance and related programs for schools across the state.

About the Role:

As the Infrastructure Services Officer, you will have responsibility for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Undertake high level planning to develop the current packages for implementation with school and early childhood communities across Queensland to modernise and optimise school facilities.
  • Participate in teams involved in the formulation of innovative and workable solutions for related infrastructure, planning, asset management or project related services.
  • Assist with the preparation, analysis and presentation of data to ensure regular and accurate reporting on related activities.
  • Manage operational issues to ensure identified outcomes and timelines are met.
  • Provide secretariat support to support project or program governance.
  • Prepare Ministerial and general correspondence, briefings, reports and submissions on project related matters and undertake record management activities for the work team.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to support the day to day operations of the work team.
  • Provide professional input into continuous improvement activities to ensure the development and promotion of best practices.
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies, guidelines and procedures regarding related infrastructure, planning, asset management or project activities.

  • You're conscientious - you pay attention to detail, display drive for continuous business efficiencies and Improvements; and are committed to meeting timeframes and customer service standards.
  • You're motivated- you understand contemporary infrastructure and asset management principles and practices and have confident communication skills to provide professional advice relevant to the tasks at hand across a variety of audiences.
