We are looking for a qualified, experienced Full time Accountant to join our team at Clayton Office. Full Time Accountant Salary $70,000 to $85,000 plus SUPERANNUATION Duties & responsibilities
- Preparing financial reports and tax returns;
- Assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies;
- Conducting financial investigation, preparing reports, advising on matters such as the purchase and sale of businesses, taxation;
- Examining operating costs and organization’s income and expenditure;
- Assisting in the timely and accurate preparation and submission of income tax returns for individuals and organizations;
- Preparing financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations;
- Perform client account wages and income tax reconciliation on quarterly and annually basis;
- Providing technical support to staff and training within the practice;
- Introducing and maintaining accounting systems and advising on the selection and application of the computer-based accounting systems.
- Liaising with administrative matters with the ATO and relevant authorities, financial institutions and brokers to establish funds management arrangements;
- Appraise cash flow and financial risk of capital investment projects.
- Any other duties as may be designated by the partner from time to time, and at any time.
Skills and selection criteria:
- Relevant Bachelor Degree or higher
- Minimum 2+ years’ relevant experience
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Previous experience in training accounting interns on tax related matters and operational procedures.
- Self-motivated and ability take initiatives
- A strong client service focus
- Desire to work collaboratively in a professional team focussed on continuous improvement.
- Ability to work to deadlines with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
